Well this was an unproductive month : ) I was supposed to have finished “Wings 2: Dominion of the Eth” by now and it is remaining elusive, though I am determined that it WILL be finished by the end of March, hopefully even sooner than that because I want to work on other projects. My one and only m/f book, “My Name is Aelida”, was accepted by Etopia Press and the first part of the series will come out in May sometime. I am very excited about this, since I love the story deeply and have always wanted to have people read it! It is definitely not your standard romance! It will be published under my original pen name, J.C.McGuire. “Draconian Measures” is still slated for May from Loose ID.

I cannot believe how time is flying! January usually drags like a dog being taken for a bath, but this year I blinked and it was gone! Not much to tell you, really. “Draconian Measures” is tentatively scheduled for release May 10 from Loose ID. Will let you know if that changes. The current book I am working on, “Wings 2: Dominion of the Eth” is giving me fits, so I am taking a break from it and will doodle about with some others until I can get my patience back and finish it. It is so damn close! ARRGH! There is some interest in a sequel to “Taken” featuring Enzo and Chase’s story, so I might look into that. Just need to get into work mode! Thank you for the positive feedback for “Taken”. It was a little intimidating to create a contemporary story when my usual interest lies in fantasy, but my readers have been gentle with me. : )

OMG…just got word that Etopia Press is going to release “Taken” on December 13th!! I had thought it might come out in January or even February, so this kind of threw me for a loop! Have not got the cover art yet. Will post it as soon as possible. Wow…kind of hyper over this!

I received some exciting news recently! My book “Taken” has been accepted by a new publisher, Etopia Press, and should be out January! They are great people and I hope everyone will support them! I never thought I would be part of a publishing launch… In other news, I handed in “Draconian Measures”, (Vlar’s father’s story) to Loose ID at the end of October and will let you know when I hear anything. “Wings 2: Dominion of the Eth” is in the works (you can keep an eye on the progress under “upcoming”) and I hope that it will be done by the end of the year, if not sooner. I have received so many supportive e-mails recently that my urge to write is at fever-pitch! Thanks so much for the encouragement I receive from my readers. I love hearing from you and often your comments help my writing… Readers can often help a writer by finding something that needs clarifying or should have more information. I tend to get too close to my characters and sometimes forget to flesh out the world they are in. It might be clear in my mind but can be a little sparse to someone reading it! Something I am working hard to improve. ; )
